Clear Waterbased Natural Effect Beeswax Food Safe 1K/2K

Novalk 9910 is the finish for wood that should still look and feel like wood. A clear, self-sealing water-based topcoat with real beeswax in it, it dries to zero sheen with a silky, waxed hand and does not change the natural color of the wood. It is food safe, so it goes on butcher blocks, cutting boards and serving pieces as well as cabinetry and furniture, and it carries the faint sweet smell of beeswax while it dries. About 21% solids by weight, 30 g/L VOC. Meets or exceeds KCMA standards for heat and humidity, cold check, chemical resistance and film swell.

Where it fits. Kitchen and bath cabinetry, dining and bedroom furniture, shelving and fixtures where a raw, close-to-the-wood look is wanted. Clear only, but it can go over stained or pigmented work. Sprays airless, air-assisted or HVLP, and brushes or rolls.

Mixing. Ready to use. For more chemical resistance add 5% NCW-80 by volume (about 3 hours of pot life). Reduce up to 10% with warm water if the gun needs it.

Application. Two coats at 2 to 4 wet mils, with a 320-grit or finer sand between coats. Keep the total finish under 6 mils dry. Surface, product and air above 53°F.

Dry times at 2 to 4 wet mils: dust-free 15 minutes, handle 45 minutes, overcoat 4 hours, stackable 12 hours.

Interior use. Water clean-up. Clean with mild soap and warm water; skip furniture polish. 4 KG.
