White Exterior Primer

Novalk 861B is the exterior white primer: high-solids (about 45%), fast-drying, 1K, with strong tannin blocking for cedar, redwood and oak that would otherwise bleed through a white topcoat outdoors. It builds high with good flow, sands easily, and carries a high concentration of IPBC, a wood-protecting fungicide, so the primer is working against mildew and rot as well as sealing.

Where it fits. Under 885 white or 892 white on exterior doors, windows, shutters, furniture and trim. Ready to use; no hardener.

Application. One or two coats at 10 to 12 wet mils. Thin up to 5% with warm water or 1034 if needed.

• Airless: 310, 311 or 312 tip at 1,600 to 2,100 psi
• HVLP: 5-stage turbine minimum, 1.8 to 2.2 needle or larger, reduce up to 5%

Sand smooth before topcoat. Exterior use. Water clean-up. 4 KG.
