About this product
Novalk NI14955 is the solvent-borne answer to difficult wood. A clear two-component polyurethane isolator made for exotic, oily and resinous species (teak, iroko, rosewood, pitch pine and the like) where natural oils and resins would otherwise stop a polyurethane finish from curing and bonding. It flows out flat, seals the surface, and gives the coats on top a clean, stable base to grip.
Where it fits. The first coat on exotic or pine wood before a Novalk solvent PU sealer and topcoat. On ordinary hardwoods it is not needed; go straight to the sealer.
Mixing. Harden 1:1 by volume with NC950 PU isolator hardener (NC900 for a faster cure). Thin up to 50% with NU5920 or ND4291 PU thinner to suit the gun.
Application. One even sprayed coat, sanded lightly once dry, then the PU sealer and topcoat.
Interior use. Solvent clean-up. 5 KG.
