About this product
NCW-80 is the standard hardener for the Novalk water-based line, and the one we pack in the Cabinet Starter Kit. Add it to a 1K/2K primer or topcoat and the film crosslinks harder, with better mar and chemical resistance in topcoats and better adhesion and blocking in primers. It's the difference between a good finish and a kitchen-proof one.
Ratios by volume.
- 5%: 917B primer, 921, 932, 934 and 919 topcoats
- 10%: 951 isolator
- 15%: 982 anti-scratch and 892 exterior topcoats
Pot life runs from about 1 hour (951) to 3 hours (917B, 934, 982, 892), shorter in a hot shop. Add the hardener slowly while mixing at low speed, and mix only what you can spray inside the window. For bigger batches or warm weather, NCW-105 gives an extra hour or more.
Contains isocyanates. Industrial use only: read the safety data sheet and wear the protective equipment it calls for, including an air-supplied respirator where required. 1 KG.
